| International Climate Protection Fellowship of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation CIPSEM operates as partner of the Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung, which is granting up to twenty International Climate Protection Fellowships annually. This project is part of the International Climate Initiative (ICI). The German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) supports the initiative based on a decision of the German Federal Parliament. The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation is running the program, which is currently scheduled to last until 2012/2013, in cooperation with: * The Federation of German Industries (BDI), * The Centre of International Postgraduate Studies in Environmental Management (CIPSEM) at TU Dresden, * The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), * Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU), * Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) and * The Renewables Academy AG (RENAC). This fellowship enables the recipients to conduct a research-related project of their own choice with hosts in Germany whom they are free to choose themselves. Besides applicants with an educational background of natural sciences or engineering, particularly applicants are encouraged to apply, who are dealing with the legal, economic and social questions of climate change.
